Early morning pick-up at your hotel or guest house in the Mother City. Our first stop today will beat De Grendel wine estate in Durbanville, where we will enjoy a personalised wine tour and tasting conducted by the Cellar Master himself. Our next stop will be at Fairview estate which is famous for its award-winning wines and cheeses. We will have lunch at the Seidelberg vineyards with panoramic views of the surrounding area as well as Table Mountain in the distance.

We then take a relaxed drive to Paarl where we sample splendid brandies and Belgian chocolates at the KWV Wine Emporium.

Our luxury accommodation awaits. After booking in, there is the option of just lazing around the pool or strolling through the quaint little town of Franschhoek. In the evening we enjoy a dinner at Haute Cabriere Cellar Restaurant. This restaurant is recognised as one of the Top 10 eating establishments in South Africa.

Day 2

A nice relaxed start! After breakfast we visit the Huguenot Museum and rose garden, and for those who want to spoil themselves a bit there is an opportunity to visit the exclusive Le Franschhoek Hotel and Spa, where you can enjoy one of the many treatments on offer.

Our first tasting today is at one of the area's best kept secrets, Boekenhoutskloof, home of the "Chocolate Block" and many other great wine. Boschendal estate is our next stop, where we enjoy "Le Pique Nique", a french style picnic under fragrant pines. It is then off to another Franschhoek gem, the impressive Rickety Bridge wine estate. Time pemitting we can pop in next door at the Dieu Donne Vineyards and sample a draught or two of the beer that they produce at their micro-brewery on site. This estate has spectacular views over the entire valley and is the perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely sundowner.

For dinner tonight, the choice is yours! Franschhoek is home to many of South Africa's top restaurants.

Another relaxed start. After breakfast we head out to Stellenbosch, the wine capital of South Africa. Our first tasting today will be at the award winning Tokara and the breathtaking Stark-Conde wine estates. We then take a walk along the popular Dorp Street in Stellenbosch with its historical old Cape Dutch architecture and vibrant student life and have lunch at one of the street cafes. There will also be the opportunity to visit "Oom Samie se Winkel", an old trading post that is a must-see for any foreign visitor.

Our final tasting will take place at the Waterford Wine Estate, where we will enjoy a wine and chocolate pairing. A perfect ending to a wonderful tour which finishes on arrival in Cape Town.
