Durbanville, Paarl, Franschhoek, Robertson, Montagu, Stanford, Hermanus and finally Stellenbosch – come and enjoy the very best that the Cape Winelands have to offer. The next five days take us through the ever changing but equally impressive Coastal, Breede River Valley, Klein Karoo and Boberg Wine Regions. Combining an unforgettable wine and  gourmet experience with the comfort of luxury accommodation and amazing scenery.

Day 1 book-now

Early morning pick-up at your hotel or guest house in the Mother City. Our first stop today will be at De Grendel wine estate in Durbanville, where we will enjoy a personalised wine tour and tasting conducted by the Cellar Master himself. Our next stop will be at the Diemersdal estate which is famous for its award winning Sauvignon Blanc range and Red Blends. Lunch will be at the Hillcrest vineyards with panoramic views of th

e surrounding area as well as Robben Island in the distance. We then take a relaxed drive to Paarl and visit the KWV Wine Emporium, were we get the opportunity to sample splendid brandies and Belgium chocolates (wine, biltong and nuts option also available).
Our luxury accommodation awaits. After booking in there is an option of just lazing around the pool or taking a stroll through the quaint little town of Franschhoek. We then enjoy a flamboyant sabrage demonstration and dinner at Haute Cabriere Cellar Restaurant. This restaurant is recognized as one of the 'Top 10' eating establishments in South Africa.


Day 2
A nice relaxed start! After breakfast we visit the Huguenot Museum and rose garden, and for those who want to spoil themselves, there will be an opportunity to visit the exclusive Le Franschhoek Hotel and Spa, where you can enjoy one of the many treatments on offer. Our first tasting today is at the impressive Boekenhoutskloof Winery, home of 'The Chocolate Block' and many other wonderful wines. Boschendal is our next stop, where we enjoy 'Le Pique Nique' a French style picnic under the fragrant pines. It is then off to another Franschhoek gem, the impressive Chamonix Wine Farm - with fantastic wines and German style 'Schnaps'. Time permitting we can pop in next door at the Dieu Donne Vineyards and sample a draught or two of the beer that they produce at their micro-brewery on site. This estate has spectacular views over the entire valley and is the perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely sundowner.

For dinner tonight, the choice is yours! Franschhoek is home to many of South Africa's top restaurants.

Day 3
A new day and a new wine region! After breakfast we take the scenic route via Villiersdorp and Worcester to Robertson. We stop off at the Graham Beck estate and sample wines from their Premium and Method Cap Classique ranges. This estate is recognised as one of the top MCC producers in South Africa. Our journey then takes us to a truly South African icon, the Klipdrift Brandy Distillery where we enjoy their legendary brandies followed by an early lunch. We then head out to our lodgings at the nearby Fraai Uitzicht, a beautiful wine and guest farm nestled at the foot of majestic Langeberg mountains. After booking in, there will be an opportunity to relax around the pool and take in the truly amazing surroundings. Late afternoon we take a short trip to the Kranskop and Zandvliet estates, where we will sample some of the best wines that this valley has to offer. Another fantastic dinner awaits you! Fine Wine and Dine Menu, with specially selected wines to accompany each course.

Day 4
Wine and whales! After a hearty farm breakfast we head southwest to Stanford, a rustic little village which is home to Raka, a family run estate that produces some fantastic wines including the highly rated 'Biography' Shiraz and 'Figurehead' Cape Blend. After the tasting we visit the unique Birkenhead Brewery and the Klein River Cheese Factory, the only place in South Africa where Gruyere cheese is made. We make our way to our guest house in Hermanus. After booking in there will be time to explore the town and with a bit of luck perhaps spot a couple of Southern Right Whales in the bay. Late afternoon we take a short drive out of town and visit the exclusive Hamilton Russel Vineyards and sample their highly rated Pinot Noir and Chardonnays.
Dinner tonight will be a seafood feast at a local restaurant overlooking the ocean.

Day 5
Another relaxed start! After breakfast we take the spectacular coastal road passing through the little holiday villages of Betty's Bay, Rooiels and Gordon's Bay. We then head inland to Stellenbosch, the wine capital of South Africa. Tastings take place at the upmarket Ernie Els and Rustenberg estates before taking a nice leisurely stroll through Stellenbosch and perhaps get in some last minute curio shopping. We then back-track along the R44 and visit Vergelegen where we will enjoy great wine and a fantastic picnic lunch at this impressive old colonial homestead. The perfect ending to a wonderful tour.
Afternoon transfer to hotel or guest house in Cape Town.
