Day 1: Namaqualand, Cederberg

We bid farewell to the beautiful Cape Town and head for the  sunburned northwestern region of South Africa called Namaqualand. We set up camp in the back drop of the spectacular Cederberg mountains. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 2 & 3: Orange River

Our next destination is Namibia, after border formalities we head to our campsite on the banks of the Orange River. The next two days are spent exploring the unique fauna and flora of the Richtersveld. We also take a relaxed canoe trip down the majestic Orange River. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 4:  Fish River Canyon

We are heading out to our next destination the Fish River Canyon. This is one of the most impressive natural beauties of the Southern part of Namibia.  With 550 meter depth the Fish River Canyon is considered the second largest Canyon of its kind in the world, the sun setting over this canyon is not to be missed.

Day 5: Duwisib Castle

About 80 km southwest the Maltahöhe lies the remote and out of place  Duwisib Castle, we explore the surrounding area and camp the night. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 6 & 7 Sesriem and Sossusvlei

We spend the next two days exploring the Namib Desert, home to some of the highest dunes in the world. We have the opportunity to climb one these ever-changing summits. This is an amazing place and we are sure this experience will not be easily forgotten. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 8 & 9: Swakopmund

Today we are heading to the colonial town of Swakopmund which is located directly at the sea. Time at leisure. There is a huge selection of activities (at own costs) such as Quadbiking through the nearby dunes, Sand boarding as well as shops, bars and restaurants. Our accommodation here will be in bungalows. Optional Activities in Swakopmund: quad biking, skydiving, dune boarding, deep-sea fishing. (Breakfast, Lunch; one own expense Dinner)

Day 10: Spitzkoppe

Today we head out to the awesome Spitzkoppe where we camp wild, the granite rock formations in this region  are spectacular. The afternoon will be spent exploring the surrounding area with the help of a local guide. The night sky is spectacular, this is a star gazers paradise. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 11: Damaraland and Twyfelfontein

After a early breakfast we head for Aba-Huab campsite, in the heart of Damaraland, on route we stop at the Petrified Forest, where we search for the prehistoric Welwitschia mirabilis plant. This afternoon we visit the Burnt Mountain and the Twyfelfontein Rock engravings, and with a bit of luck we may spot the rare desert elephant that is found in this area. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 12,13 & 14: Etosha National Park

The next three nights are spent at the ‘Great White Place of Dry Water’ Etosha Pans. This park at over 22000 square kilometers is without a doubt one of the most impressive parks in the world. We spend the early mornings and late afternoons in search of the numerous animal and bird species found in this area. The campsites we use in the park will be determined by the movement of the animals. The campsites have floodlit waterholes, giving us the opportunity to observe the animals at night. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 15: Rundu

Our next destination is  Rundu on the banks of the Kavango River. The afternoon is spent relaxing around the campsite swimming pool. Tonight we have a Buffet dinner and are entertained by local tribal dancers (meal & show at own expense). (Breakfast, Lunch)

Day 16-18: The Okavango Delta

Another tour highlight, we enter Botswana and make our way to our island campsite. The next few days we explore this flooded paradise on ‘mokoros’ indigenous canoes, with local guides. We camp wild and go on game walks in search of the numerous animal species found in this area. This is a true African experience never to be forgotten. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 19: Caprivi Strip (Katima Mulilo)

Today we re-enter Namibia, and make our way through the Caprivi Strip to our campsite on the outskirts of Katima Mulilo. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 20: Chobe National Park, Kasane

We camp next to the park overlooking the Chobe River. After lunch we take a boat cruise into the National Park, where we are able to get a closer look at the elephant, hippo and buffalo that are in abundance in this wonderful park. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 21 & 22: Livingstone

Another day another country. After an early start we take a ferry trip across the river into Zambia, we then take a short drive to the adventure capital Livingstone. We visit the world famous Victoria Falls and have the opportunity to raft down the mighty Zambezi River. There are many other excursions to choose from (excursions and dinners at own expense). (Breakfast, Lunch)
