The word "Luhambo" means journey in Xhosa. It is not only the name of our company - it is also our mission and promise to you, our client that we will do everything in our power to make your journey a memorable and life-changing experience, whether you only spend a few days in Cape Town or three weeks in South Africa. Our Team
Cedric is the founder of Luhambo Tours. He's always been interested in nature and wildlife. As a typical South African he loves the outdoors and has a true passion for Africa. After working in Engineering for many years, Cedric decided to change his career completely and to go into tourism. He worked in the tourism industry throughout Africa before he returned to South Africa and expanded his knowledge and skills by guiding countless safaris and special interests tours for international tourists in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique, Zambia and Malawi. Over the past few years he got more and more involved in day and short tours in Cape Town and has also specialised in wine tours. Cedric is a registered FGASA Field Guide and a certificate holder of the Cape Wine Academy. Cedric runs most of our tours out of Cape Town.
Sabine is responsible for Luhambo Tours' marketing as well as the website. She has been working in journalism, corporate communications and marketing for 20 years and has been focusing on online marketing over the past few years. She shares her husband Cedric's passion for South African wine and the Cape Winelands. Sabine is German and has been in living in South Africa for more than seven years. Being bilingual helps to ensure that Luhambo Tours can accommodate English as well as German speaking customers.
Graham Nicoll, Cape Town After spending 18 years in an office, a keen trail runner, Graham decided to take his love of the outdoors, his passion, and make it his career. Born in Scotland, but growing up in South Africa, Graham is a true ambassador for this beautiful country. Qualified as a local tour guide in 2005, Graham stepped out of the corporate world in 2006 and devoted himself to tourism full time. Graham is a qualified FGASA tour guide as well as a nature and wine guide. Graham is a highly-respected member of our team.
Charles Cox, Cape Town and Munich Charles Cox was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and has travelled extensively around the world experiencing many different people and cultures. Before starting in tourism, he worked as a sportswear designer in Italy, Germany, and Hong Kong. Being an avid cyclist, he has created a concept for an active cycle holiday in his home country, combining sport with leisure. Charles is a registered FGASA Field Guide and conducts day and wine tours in and around Cape Town. His ability to speak English, German and Italian is a huge asset to Luhambo Tours. Charles is also the owner of our sister company Soultouring.
Laura is a born and bred Gugulethu Township resident. Being involved in tourism for many years, she is not only a guide of the highest quality, but also actively involved in many community projects aiding in the upliftment of local township residents. With her infinite knowledge of the area, she is the perfect guide for our township tours. Laura is also the owner of Thuthuka Tours and the Thuthuka Jazz Cafe.

| “We had a fabulous day and tour with Cedric from Luhambo Tours!”: We spent the day with Cedric from Luhambo Tours on the 1-day wine tour. We went to tasting rooms throughout Stellenbosch and Franschhoek and it was the best day of our 2 week trip. Cedric was a pleasure to spend the day with and took us to a variety of tasting rooms. He went out of his way to show us small wineries, large award-winning ones, beautiful settings, views and even stopped at a botanical garden to show us the Proteas when we asked him about them (guest from Seattle, USA, full review on Tripadvisor). |
