The word "Luhambo" means journey in Xhosa. It is not only the name of our company - it is also our mission and promise to you, our client that we will do everything in our power to make your journey a memorable and life-changing experience, whether you only spend a few days in Cape Town or three weeks on Safari. Our Team
Cedric is the founder of Luhambo Tours. He's always been interested in nature and wildlife. As a typical South African he loves the outdoors and has a true passion for Africa. After working in Engineering for many years, Cedric decided to change his career completely and to go into tourism. His first business venture started in Arusha, Tanzania, where he ran exclusive walking safaris from 1998-1999. He returned to South Africa and expanded his knowledge and skills by guiding countless safaris and special interests tours for international tourists in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique, Zambia and Malawi. Over the past few years he got more and more involved in day and short tours in Cape Town and has also specialised in wine tours. Cedric is a registered FGASA Field Guide and a certificate holder of the Cape Wine Academy. Cedric runs our tours out of Cape Town.
Charles Cox was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and has travelled extensively around the world experiencing many different people and cultures. Before starting in tourism, he worked as a sportswear designer in Italy, Germany, and Hong Kong. Being an avid cyclist, he has created a concept for an active cycle holiday in his home country, combining sport with leisure. Charles is a registered FGASA Field Guide and conducts day and wine tours in and around Cape Town. His ability to speak English, German and Italian is a huge asset to Luhambo Tours. Charles is also the owner of our sister company Soultouring.
Laura is a born and bred Gugulethu Township resident. Being involved in tourism for many years, she is not only a guide of the highest quality, but also actively involved in many community projects aiding in the upliftment of local township residents. With her infinite knowledge of the area, she is the perfect guide for our township tours. Laura is also the owner of Thuthuka Tours and the Thuthuka Jazz Cafe which is used in our Township Jazz Summer Tour.

"Hi Cedric, Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our tour with Laura yesterday. She is a remarkable lady and we were truly inspired by her energy, her dedication to her community and her ability to overcome adversity. Thank you very much for arranging this for us."
